Empowered and Inspired: Wrapping Up PerPop in Morocco

All good things must come to an end, and today we bid farewell to the amazing PerPop Youth Exchange here in Morocco. Over the past days, 45 young people from all corners of the Euro-Mediterranean region came together to tackle the challenges of populism and misinformation. Everyone poured their minds and hearts into the experience, and the results speak for themselves. Here’s what we’ve managed to achieve together:👉 Embraced inclusivity and challenged stereotypes.👉 Built resilience against populist rhetoric.👉 Sharpened our fact-checking skills to navigate misinformation.👉 Deepened our understanding of populism in our countries.👉 Advocated for nuance and critical thinking.👉 Led digital campaigns addressing populist narratives in the Euro-Mediterranean. As our participants head back home, they’re bringing back new perspectives, skills, and a vision to make a positive impact in their local community. A massive thank you to them, to the team and the our lovely facilitator for making this experience possible.

Countering Populism in Marrakech: One Narrative at a Time

Perspectives on Populism (PerPop) youth Exchange is here and we’re popping with excitement for an insightful week together in sunny Marrakech! Populism has been making waves worldwide, leaving a strong impact. Divisive tactics, threats to democratic values, and a lack of respect for human rights are just some of the resulting challenges. That’s why we’ve brought together 46 young people from 8 Euro-Mediterranean countries: to tackle this issue, promote active citizenship, and stand for tolerance and inclusion. The first days have been energetic: we got to know each other, engaged in team-building activities, and laid the groundwork for the week. Participants also used artistic expression to explore the concept of populism, its core components, and strategies. Throughout the week, participants made national reality presentations, uncovering how populism takes shape in their countries, sparking lively discussions and insightful reflections. Fake news took center stage as participants sharpened their critical thinking, breaking down its core components and revealing tactics that fuel misinformation. Follow along for more updates, and don’t forget to check our story highlights!

Concluding a Week of Innovation, Teamwork, and Sustainability

We’ve officially wrapped up an amazing week at the Youth Ecopreneurs Camp, where young people from France, Sweden, Romania, Spain, Poland, and Italy came together to shape a greener future through entrepreneurship and teamwork. Throughout the week, participants took on the role of entrepreneurs, tackling real ecological challenges from their communities and creating seven impressive, practical business plans. They enhanced their creativity and problem-solving skills using the Design Thinking method, explored current trends in ecopreneurship, and launched powerful online campaigns to promote their solutions and highlight best practices. An important part of this journey was connecting sustainability with real-world opportunities, particularly in youth employment and eco-friendly business development. In diverse, multicultural teams, participants worked to address critical environmental issues while sharing their own unique experiences and perspectives. Beyond just learning, this week was about empowerment, forming genuine connections, and sparking a lasting commitment to sustainable action. The enthusiasm, innovation, and teamwork we witnessed made clear the incredible potential that exists when young people come together for a meaningful cause.

For others, almost everything covered was entirely new, including detailed project management techniques and the vast landscape of EU opportunities for youth. During the second half of our training, we delved into key topics such as: As we say goodbye to Cabris, we’re leaving with powerful commitments and clear next steps. We look forward to seeing these commitments come to life in the weeks ahead and reuniting soon in the sunny coastal town of Nea Makri, Greece. Until then, let’s turn these insights into action. See you soon in Greece!
