Beyond Hate

To bring together youth workers to challenge all forms of hate speech, strengthen their digital activism skills, counter intolerant and xenophobic narratives, and build their capacity to advocate for recognizing online hate speech as a serious human rights violation.

  • O1. Analyse the role of narratives both in contributing to the spread of hate speech and in strengthening human rights initiatives in the online space.

  • O2. Explore the GAMMA+ model to foster reflection on the prevalence of hate speech online, and upskill youth workers with creative approaches to develop digital counter-narrative campaigns.

  • O3. Map and develop guidelines for each stakeholder of ‘hate speech’, advocating to consider online hate speech as a major human right violation.

  • O4. Equip youth workers with innovative tools to enhance young people’s critical thinking in approaching information online.

  • O5. Provide space of networking between the European and Southern-Mediterranean organizations confronted with similar challenges.
