As we conclude our DEEP Training Course, we look back on the transformative week we shared together in Cabris, France with active youth workers from across Europe that we gathered to redefine digital participation, explore EU engagement opportunities, and develop practical solutions for the future of youth work.
During the training, we managed to:
- Connect digital participation to citizenship, reinforcing its role in civic engagement and activism.
- Design digital guidelines for youth workers and practical tools to enhance digital engagement in youth work.
- Facilitate digital tool showcases, where participants took the lead in presenting and demonstrating innovative digital resources.
- Exchange best practices, insights and strategies to improve digital participation across different organizations.
- Equip youth workers with modern digital tools to strengthen online engagement and advocacy efforts.
The experience went beyond traditional learning. Simulation games, networking speed-dates, and collaborative discussions created an immersive environment that blended online and offline participation in meaningful ways. These interactive methods made every session engaging, dynamic, and directly applicable to real-world youth work.
Beyond the structured sessions, what truly defined DEEP was the energy and synergy among participants. Morning energizers sparked creativity, while sunrise reflections in the French countryside offered moments of introspection. Between brainstorming sessions and shared meals, friendships were formed, ideas were exchanged, and a strong network of youth workers committed to driving digital participation took shape.
