EmpACT4 is back! This time, we’re diving into the art of facilitation under the sunny skies of Nea Makri, Greece! From 21st to 29th May, we’re gathering once again for the second half of our training course, bringing participants together to deepen their skills and knowledge around leading impactful youth activities.
Over the first days, participants reconnected after two months apart, warmly welcoming new team members into the fold. Our initial sessions were all about rebuilding team dynamics with a special team-building exercise thoughtfully suggested by one of our participants from the first part of the training.
After reinforcing our earlier learnings to ensure everyone was aligned, we moved forward into the core topics of this session, including:
- Effective training and facilitation strategies, covering proven methodologies and practical techniques.
- Real-life case studies that help anticipate and manage challenging scenarios facilitators commonly face.
- Hands-on workshops led by participants, using the interactive Learning Space Dynamics (LSD) method.
- Exploring how to identify youth needs and selecting suitable non-formal education methods.
- Evaluating both successful and less effective facilitation tools, preparing our participants for real-world experiences.
Participants were also given dedicated time to plan their own facilitation sessions, reflecting on their personal styles and preparing to deliver workshops individually or in small groups later in the week.
As always, EmpACT4 blends intensive learning with meaningful connections, balancing structured sessions with moments to explore beautiful Nea Makri, recharge, and build deeper relationships.
