After a year and a half of work, the No Hate Embassy programme came to a close at the end of 2025 with its final international conference in Marrakech.
The conference marked the culmination of a long-term Euro-Mediterranean programme addressing hate speech from multiple angles, including research, capacity-building, campaigning and youth-led action.
More than 60 participants joined us for the event, including international expert speakers, civil society representatives and the No Hate Embassy fellows. Throughout the day, keynote speeches, workshops and discussions explored topics such as fear, freedom of expression, intersectionality, youth work and the mechanisms through which hate speech spreads and takes hold.
A central part of the conference was also dedicated to the work of the NHE fellows. Their initiatives, developed during the fellowship period, were presented alongside the results and impact achieved in their local communities.
The conference offered a space not only to reflect on what had been accomplished, but also to bring together many of the people who had shaped the programme at different stages.
It was a fitting way to close an ambitious project that meant a great deal to everyone involved and to celebrate the ideas, partnerships and youth-led initiatives that grew from it.
